Monthly Meetings

Meetings are normally held every other month in a comfortable church lounge and include notices and Society business, entertainment or a talk, a sing-a-long and an afternoon tea. We welcome visitors to any of our meetings so if you are visiting Christchurch please come along.

At each meeting we try to have guest speakers and entertainers. These include local choirs, individual singers and musicians, and speakers on a wide range of subjects. Over recent years our speakers have included a weather expert, an airline travel consultant, an historian and an antiques expert. Other essential parts of our meetings include the sing-a-long and a chat with special friends as we enjoy afternoon tea (including Welsh cakes of course).


For St. David's Day each year we hold a special celebration which may take the form of a dinner.

To help to cover the costs of an ordinary meeting a $3 entry fee is charged and each person is given a lucky draw ticket.
